ADARA is the business partner, which financially sponsors, manages and operates all the affairs of the Wairoa Tennis Club on behalf of the Committee, which iconically is celebrating its 100th Birthday in 2024 and hosts the only perpetual lease of a sports club in Wairoa for the next 33 years. (Commencing early 2024)

The Wairoa Tennis Club/Association is turning 100 in February 2024, this is a historic milestone where we celebrate all members past and present. This event will be the highlight to kickstart 2024 event calendar for Wairoa.

RAMADAN
As a community giveback ADARA hosts Ramadan celebrations with a tennis tournament over 2-3 days allowing the community to engage with cultural customs of Islam and that of breaking fast in the holy month of Ramadan.
This has become a highlight of many of our members from tennis as well as the community.

SME TENNIS
SME Tennis is part of the Māori Tennis Revival where in 1949 after World War II, the Māori Tennis was hosted again here in Wairoa. ADARA Host this particular event to brandmark the Wairoa Tennis Club to its sister clubs in the region with a competitive tournament, grand trophies, prize monies and gifts are part of the tournament prizes. ADARA considers this to be a prestigious event for Wairoa, attracting visitors Nationally and creating an economic boost as well as being entertained by a great sport.
BATTLE OF THE BUSINESS
As a support towards SME, local businesses play off of each other to win the Battle of the Business trophy and creates a healthy competitive match between local businesses.
TOURNAMENTS
In the last few years the club has revived its tournaments status with Tennis NZ and Eastern Tennis whereby members are welcomed at National tournaments being part of the Syndicate. Wairoa Tennis Club currently host club day tournaments and will continue to aim to host larger tournaments like that of SME Tennis.
