SME
SMALL TO MEDIUM ENTERPRISES ARE THE BACKBONE OF NEW ZEALAND.
Small to Medium Enterprises (SME) make up more than 97% of the total of Aotearoa New Zealand’s businesses. It provides 30% of employment and contributes to over 25% of the total GDP.
ADARA supports SME Business through consultation, Business Support, Services and Mentorship. In Wairoa, ADARA has consulted the launch and continues to manage the Wairoa Business Hub. WBH is a space that was created to assist local businesses similar to that of an Advice Bureau, being uniquely local and delivered by local talent.
ADARA has supported the SME space for up to a minimum of 10 Years, hosting in Auckland and Wellington with local Government Agencies like MFA, NZTE, Chambers of Commerce, Iwi, Ngati Kahungunu, International Entrepreneurs (including distributors), the Minister of Small Business (Labour and National), H.E Ambassadors and Local Selected Businesses from the regions hosted. This is a 3 Day Event whereby a gala dinner is hosted, a trade day follows and completing with one-on-one meetings with buyers, sellers and distributors.
ADARA’s journey with SME is to support rural areas moving forward and that is why Wairoa is a Hub. The last few years, ADARA has concentrated on data collection and research trialling on local rural markets to understand where the necessary support for SME businesses are required.
We continue to support this platform as it is a forever changing and developing landscape.
